SPRINGVILLE CITY CORPORATION Performing Arts Coordinator - Museum in SPRINGVILLE, Utah

+-----------------------------------+-----------------------------------+ | Under the direction of the |   | | Springville Museum of Art | | | Director, the Performing Arts | | | Coordinator works with the Public | | | Art Coordinator to further | | | develop and implement the | | | Springville City Public Art | | | Program, specifically focusing on | | | performing arts programs and | | | events. | | +-----------------------------------+-----------------------------------+ | ·         Work with Public Art |   | | staff, the Public Art Committee, | | | and volunteers to plan, develop | | | and implement performing arts | | | programs and events for the "Art | | | City" | | | | | | ·         Solicit performers and | | | oversee schedule for Public Art | | | performing arts programs | | | | | | ·         Identify opportunities | | | for performing arts performances, | | | programs, and events within | | | Springville | | | | | | ·         Oversee performing arts | | | programming and scheduling for | | | Annual Arts Festival | | | | | | ·         Maintain contact lists | | | for performers and artists in | | | Springville and local area; | | | develop and maintain | | | relationships with performing | | | arts stakeholders | | | | | | ·         Keeps accurate program | | | and financial records; prepares | | | occasional reports | | | | | | ·         Follows policies and | | | procedures for obtaining, | | | scheduling and training event | | | helpers (volunteers), | | | entertainment, service providers, | | | etc. | | | | | | ·         Assist with other | | | Museum and Public Art programs | | | and projects as assigned. | | | | | | ·         All other duties as | | | assigned. | | +-----------------------------------+-----------------------------------+ |   | | +-----------------------------------+-----------------------------------+ | Possess a valid driver's license. |   | | High School Diploma. At least 2 | | | years experience with performing | | | arts administration and/or | | | scheduling, planning, budgeting, | | | and managing volunteers for | | | programs including concerts, | | | festivals, performances, plays, | | | or events.  Relationships with | | | local performing arts communities | | | (dance, theater, music, etc.) | | | preferred. | | | | | |   | | | | | | KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND | | | ABILITIES | | | | | | • Organizational skills including | | | time management, attention to | | | details, and meeting deadlines. | | | | | | • Ability to develop working | | | relationships with artists, | | | performers, and community | | | partners. | | | | | | • Event/Project management. | | | | | | • Strong verbal and written | | | communication. | | | | | | • Occasional evening and weekend | | | availability. | | +-----------------------------------+-----------------------------------+ | This job requires a combination |   | | of office work, meeting | | | attendance, and field work (i.e., | | | meeting with community partners, | | | scouting out projects, setting up | | | for Art Festival).
