Position: System Engineer

Clearance- TS/SCI (TS is fine to start)
Salary- 150k-160k

Position Description: We are seeking a dedicated System Engineer to lead the planning, test development, data definition, and task execution for new and existing products within the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG). The ideal candidate will craft clear test plans to achieve test objectives and will guide a team of image scientists, image analysts, photogrammetrists, and statisticians in executing specific tasks, tracking issues, and communicating status and results to various stakeholders.
The role encompasses a range of data providers and sensor phenomenologies, including electro-optical, RADAR, LIDAR, OPIR, motion, and multi- and hyper-spectral technologies. Responsibilities include verifying and validating product visual quality and the precision of supporting data. Applicants should possess experience in test design for product verification and validation against requirements to fulfill the planned concept of operations. Candidates with a background in image science or imagery analysis, ready to tackle the group's challenges, are preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively are essential.
Required Experience/Education:
Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in System Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Software Engineering, or a related field.
5-10 years of system engineering experience, including independent testing, data verification, requirements analysis, and concept of operations development.
Proficiency with sensor imaging systems, products, and exploitation processes.
Strong written and oral communication skills, particularly in briefing to drive decisions, resolve technical issues, and write test plans/reports.
Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
Eagerness to learn, problem-solve, and perform in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Skillset:
Experience in remote sensing phenomenologies (for example EO/IR/SAR)
Knowledge of NSG tasking, collection, processing, exploitation and dissemination (TCPED) image chain
Experience with product quality assessments, visual or metadata assessments
