Jacobs Senior GEOINT Quality Test Engineer- TS/SCI W/POLY in Springfield, Virginia

Joining our team as a Senior GEOINT Test Engineer will lead to a rewarding career making a lasting difference as a legacy program transitions to a new cloud based and automated testing architecture. In any given day, you will be using your skills in modern programming languages and communicating with the team of software engineers to articulate deficiencies in the tools or systems, propose new solutions that streamline processes for efficiency and document test procedures and other artifacts for accuracy and repeatability.

Responsibilities:

  • Building and leading various test environments for a software development team.

  • Implementing unit testing, integration testing, stress testing, smoke testing, use case testing, and operational scenario based testing.

  • Perform GEOINT quality risk analysis, test planning, and test performance of GEOINT data, systems, applications, and services.

  • Performing testing on systems at the component, integration, system and end-to-end levels.

  • Leading/running functional/non-functional tests, requirements based/structured based testing, black/white testing.

  • Leading test automation, test scripts, regression/performance tests to include the use of automated testing tools such as Selenium or Katalon.

  • Provide technical and process leadership to team members to ensure the spread of standard test practices and knowledge to include conceiving the initial test to address GEOINT quality risks introduced by design, development requirements, and/or system/data integration.

  • Experience with Requirements Verification Traceability Matrix (RVTM).

  • Technical writing to capture test cases and deficiency reports.

  • Ability to implement test strategies, plans, procedures/process .

  • Monitoring/control/analysis/design/implementation/execution/completion/traceability and reports.

  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines; even when the due dates may dynamically change due to mission priorities.

  • Develop and use more complex concepts and processes, conduct root cause problem analysis and develop technical solutions to problems.

  • Guides and supports junior level personnel and requires guidance only when dealing with new, uncertain, undefined or undeveloped tasks.

Here’s what you’ll need :

Required:

  • TS/SCI with CI Poly

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Science, Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related quantitative science field with 10-12 years experience as a GEOINT Quality Test Engineer on programs/projects.

  • Masters degree in Engineering, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Science, Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related quantitative science field with 8-10 years experience as a GEOINT Quality Test Engineer on programs/projects.

  • PhD degree in Engineering, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Science, Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related quantitative science field with 5-7 years experience as a GEOINT Quality Test Engineer on programs/projects.

  • Experience conducting Analysis/Gathering, Test Planning, Test Case Development, Test Execution, Test Automation, and Test Reporting related to GEOINT quality concerns for both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

  • Experience designing, executing, and reporting results of effective GEOINT quality and functional tests, developing effective collection plans, capturing and reporting issues, and adapting existing test strategies to new and evolving capabilities.

  • Experience supporting test automation, test driven development, and test process and procedural improvements.

  • Experience with NSG Architecture TCPED processes, workflows, and architecture.

  • Experience leading teams resulting in successful verification and test strategies/solutions for complex programs.

  • Experience designing and applying manual test cases and automation scripts to address GEOINT quality risks.

  • Experience supporting the automation strategy/effort for modernizing the GEOINT quality test mission.

  • Experience with cloud development processes.

  • Experience with industry system engineering practices.

  • Experience solving complex technical problems and providing effective solutions.

  • Experience ensuring the logical and systematic realization of verification and test requirements into system solutions to meet program objectives (e.g. test scenarios, test plans, defect tracking, lessons learned).

  • Strong interpersonal skills in order to influence, collaborate and work effectively with all levels of internal and external leadership.
