System Engineering support to the International Program Office throughout the entire acquisition project lifecycle. MITRE engineering support shall respond to tasking in support of multiple short- and long-term efforts to the sponsors International partners, primarily with the UK and NZ, but also other partners as needed. The MITRE support shall provide independent unbiased technical support to the evaluation of US and Partner solutions, make recommendations on the best way forward and to support the full acquisition process, both agile and traditional waterfall.

In addition, the candidate should demonstrate the ability to monitor, identify and communicate potential areas of impact to the Partner’s Ways of working (WoW), IT or interfaces as a result of changes on either side. This specifically requires the ability to collate and present back to the Partner complex issues on a range of GEOINT solutions. MITRE Engineering support will need to work independently, given the disconnected nature of the position from the partner, but also be able to make and maintain contacts throughout NGA as well as the Partner’s equivalent Engineering support contractor and user base.

The expectation is the candidate can work as a team with other partner support contractors and Government personnel located both in the US and co located with the partner.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS Degree on Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field of study and 10 years of related experience, including 2 years of leadership

  • Candidate must hold a DoD Top Secret Clearance with current SCI.

Required Qualifications:

  • Development, maintenance and communication of a technology Roadmap for near and long term view on IT obsolescence reliant technology/interfaces with a longer term view of capability migration for the Partner to consider

  • Requirements development

  • Promotion of GEOINT solutions that impact those areas of the partners architecture that could provide direct benefit to the burden sharing relationship

  • Willingness to travel to partner location when required

  • Strong interpersonal communications, including verbal and written abilities in breaking down a complex big picture into usable components; capturing requirements and design information; translating across stakeholder communities to enable effective coordination of technical and programmatic information to influence government leadership decisions; coordinating action among distributed engineering teams consisting of government and contractors.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Sponsor's Mission, from operations to the IT employed to enable mission success.

  • Knowledge of Intel Sponsors programs of records and future changes that could impact the partner

  • Understanding of US EXPORT/ITAR regulations

  • Demonstrated experience working across Programs from technical and programmatic perspectives

  • Ability to work independently given the disconnected nature of the position
