PeaceHealth RN Telestroke Program Coordinator in Springfield, Oregon

PeaceHealth is seeking a RN Telestroke Program Coordinator for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The general salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $48.66 – $73.00. The actual hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to, the job/position responsibilities, location, terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement, education, training, work experience, seniority, work performance, etc.

This position is responsible for working directly with leadership and support staff to provide development, coordination and direction for the Telestroke Program. Assists with all operational aspects of the Telestroke program including implementation, communication with other hospitals, including site evaluation and support. Works with multidisciplinary teams, performance improvement, and education activities. Further responsibilities include coordination, implementation and sustainability of the Telestroke program and services.

DETAILS OF THE POSITION:

  • Provides primary facilitation and coordination of care for the Telestroke program

  • Serves as a liaison to a variety of constituents: outreach programs to integrate services that support the Telestroke Program and its needs. Including external hospitals, departments, nurses, physicians to identify, develop and promote services and the Telestroke Program. Promote community relations and marketing to network activities for members, partners, and potential members of the network to ensure a high comfort level in using telemedicine equipment.

  • Conducts and coordinates inter-facility, EMS and regional professional staff training for the Telestroke Program. Participates in community education and promotion of the program and practice guidelines among current and future sites.

  • Provides customer service relations management and performance consulting services to customers and other service providers using telemedicine products and services. Identifies and customizes the clinical workflow of patient care data transmission among federal and non-federal healthcare organizations applications. Identifies opportunities for integration of customers and goals to improve patient care, increase provider job satisfaction, and make efficient use of funds and time.

  • Coordinates planning, evaluation of program effectiveness, efficiency and quality of service. Represents the program on inter-facility committees to enhance and foster optimal care. Provides ongoing assessment of program needs. Submits quality indicator information to senior leaders and Quality Council for monitoring and tracking.

  • Manages outreach channels to communicate to customers the value and features of the network and assists with promotion of telestroke services.

  • Coordinates inter-facility transfers and protocols, in-house protocols all in synchronization with the Transfer Center for the Telestroke Program.

  • Utilizes the concepts of Quality Improvement when planning and implementing process changes.

  • Create and implement confidentiality guidelines for telestroke usage.

  • Assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures, protocols, surveys and evaluations associated with telestroke

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Accredited School of Nursing Required: Nursing and

  • Bachelor of Science Preferred: Nursing or equivalent bachelor's degree or

  • Master's Degree Preferred.

  • Minimum of 4 years Preferred: in a healthcare setting and

  • Preferred: Experience in EMS, prefer paramedic training and

  • Demonstrated experience in providing educational seminars

  • Required: Registered Nurse in state of practice and

  • Required: National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification and

  • Required: Basic Life Support and

  • Preferred within 120 Days: Stroke Certified Registered Nurse

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at one time (Required)

  • Demonstrated ability to promote positive relationships and customer-focused work environment (Required)

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a self-directed environment (Required)

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (Required)

  • Understanding of or willingness to learn extensive computer technology skills (Required)
