PeaceHealth Nurse Practitioner - Neurosurgery in Springfield, Oregon

Join our Neurosurgery team at RiverBend Medical Center and work with a caring team of Neurosurgeons, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants who know their patients and provide successful outcomes.

The Neurosurgery team is experienced in complex trauma cases as well as a full spectrum of brain and spine cases. PeaceHealth RiverBend Medical Center located in Springfield, Oregon we are a comprehensive Stroke Center, the largest hospital between Portland, Oregon and Sacramento, California. RiverBend is a Level II Trauma Center with a large catchment area expanding to the Oregon coast and south along the I-5 corridor.

Practice Highlights:

  • 2-3 years of experience in Neurosurgery preferred not required.

  • Assisting the Neurosurgeon in Clinic and in the OR with procedures.

  • Patient follow-up and patient education in the Clinic.

We are located at the southern end of the Willamette Valley, also known as, Oregon wine country. Two rivers run through the community, the Willamette River, and McKenzie River. Bike, walk or run the Middle Fork Path along the Willamette River, or spend the day fishing on the McKenzie River. We are located 1 hour from the Oregon coast with access to the mountains with access to the outdoors year around. Springfield has a flourishing downtown and fast becoming a must visit for your culinary experience! Eugene is home to the University of Oregon. Go Ducks! We have one of the most desirable locations in the Pacific Northwest to live, work, and play.

Job Summary

Within scope of practice and in alignment with both hospital staff bylaws and PHMGs physician supervision expectations, responsible for advanced level of nursing evaluation, clinical assessment, prescribing and monitoring medications and follow-up care for patient. BLS required.
