Job Summary: The Laborer for the Scaffold and Insulation craft is responsible for assisting with the setup, maintenance, and dismantling of scaffolding structures and the installation of insulation materials. This role involves physical labor, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work in various environmental conditions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the erection and dismantling of scaffolding structures.

  • Carry and organize scaffold components such as tubes, boards, and fittings.

  • Ensure that scaffolding is securely installed and meets all safety standards.

  • Perform regular inspections of scaffolding to ensure stability and safety.

  • Follow blueprints and instructions from supervisors for proper scaffold assembly.

  • Assist in measuring and cutting insulation materials to the required size.

  • Install insulation materials on pipes, walls, and other surfaces as directed.

  • Secure insulation with appropriate fasteners, adhesives, and other methods.

  • Ensure insulation is installed according to specifications and safety standards.

  • Help in the application of protective coverings over insulation materials.

  • Assist in measuring and cutting insulation materials to the required size.

  • Install insulation materials on pipes, walls, and other surfaces as directed.

  • Secure insulation with appropriate fasteners, adhesives, and other methods.

  • Ensure insulation is installed according to specifications and safety standards.

  • Help in the application of protective coverings over insulation materials.

  • Keep the job site clean by keeping it clear of all trash, unused paint materials, etc.

  • Any other duties assigned by Sandblaster/painter, foreman, or supervisor.

Key Requirements and Education Experience:

  • Prior Experience in Construction or a related field preferred, but not required.

  • Adhere to all company and OSHA safety regulations and standards.

  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

  • Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.

  • Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
