WorkSource Oregon Heavy Equipment Lube Technician in Springfield, Oregon

We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Lube Technician to join our team! This position will be responsible for providing on-site preventative maintenance and service tasks in the field on a variety of heavy equipment (rock drills, rock crushers, excavators, haul trucks etc.). In addition to preventative maintenance, this position will also perform minor mechanical repairs on equipment as needed. The successful candidate for this position will be detail-oriented, possess strong mechanical skills, and demonstrate a proactive approach to equipment maintenance. Hours & Pay: \$25-\$31/hour depending on experience and technical expertise. Additional \$10/hour differential pay for weekend work (Saturdays and Sundays). Per diem: \$40.00 per day when staying at a company paid hotel. Generous Benefits Package: Including insurance, 401k with matching, paid time off, and more. Dispatched from Springfield, OR to perform services in field locations. Standard Shift: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 6:00am \' 6:00pm. Additional days and hours available. Job Requirements: - Valid driver\'s license with a driving record that includes no more than 3 moving violations and/or chargeable accidents in the last 3 years and no DUIIs. CDL strongly preferred or a commitment to acquire CDL upon hire. - Background check through the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to screen felony records as appropriate in compliance with federal government restriction. - Pre-employment drug test and physical. For safety reasons, we have a zero-tolerance drug policy, including marijuana use. - Associate\'s Degree from a fully accredited college or technical/vocational school in Diesel Technology or other closely related field preferred. - 2 years of directly related experience in heavy equipment repair, preferably in a heavy industrial environment with or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. - Problem solving skills; to analyze and resolve equipment malfunctions efficiently. - Adaptable; to handle diverse equipment challenges and quickly adjust to changing priorities. - Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality work. - To work independently and efficiently. Job Duties: - Perform preventative maintenance services, troubleshooting and repairs in field locations in accordance with manufacturers\' recommended procedures. - Respond professionally and positively to operators, and product support personnel to questions or requests for technical support, troubleshooting and repair assistance. - When dispatched for field repair or maintenance, reviews open work orders for all equipment in proximity of assignment and communicate with operators prior to departing to ensure no other supplies or plans for other repairs need to be arranged. - Keep accurate and detailed records of technical support and troubleshooting steps taken provided to ensure prompt problem resolution, follow up, and customer satisfaction. - Reads and interprets maintenance manuals, engineering drawings and diagrams, hydraulic and electrical schematics. - Performs any and all duties to support our Operations and Product Support teams.
