Description

The Project Director of the Modeling and Simulation Program (MSP) is responsible for leading all efforts related to the Department of Education grant. The objectives of this project are to develop an accredited stackable degree program model (including a certificate, an associate degree, and potentially an applied bachelor's degree); to expand and strengthen employer relationships in the Modeling and Simulation industry; and to develop project-based learning opportunities for all levels of the academic programs. * * DIMENSIONS  Implements and manages, in accordance with established governing guidelines, the $1.07 million Modeling and Simulation Program budget funded by the Department of Education Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education grant. This position is funded as project director through December 31, 2026, then is planned to transition to a full-time faculty position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * *  

1. 

Oversees and manages the Modeling and Simulation Project (MSP) funded by the Department of Education grant.

2. 

Manages the day-to-day administration of the project; ensuring that the College meets all project obligations in a timely manner, assuring the timely, accurate preparation and submission of required reports, and conducting administrative operations in compliance with the project.

3. 

Provides regular status reports on grant implementation in conjunction with grant accountant reports as required.

4. 

Directs and oversees the development of modeling and simulation curriculum through college, state, and accreditation procedures.

5. 

Assists in reviewing and recommending textbooks, other educational materials, including open educational resources (OER).

6. 

Establish procedures for implementation of curriculum including the training of instructors.
