Wayfinders Director of Lending in Springfield, Massachusetts

The Director of Lending ensures robust full-cycle loan work is completed in a manner that meets or exceeds goals, and within industry standards, including pre-loan outreach, applicant and borrower communications, loan underwriting, loan closings, portfolio maintenance, collections, and other loan management duties. Wage starts between \$90,000 and \$106,000 per year depending on equivalent qualifications. SEE THE WAY FINDERS WEBSITE FOR COMPLETE JOB DESCRIPTION Requirements include: 7 years\' equivalent experience in commercial and/or CDFI lending, or a related role, with 5 years as a field specialist; a combination of experience plus a Bachelor\'s degree may be a substitute Experience in managing a lending department Ability to conduct due diligence and to evaluate credit worthiness Experience managing a loan portfolio Adept with Microsoft Suite and database systems, with comfort learning new technologies and applications Capacity to communicate effectively with diverse constituencies Must be creative, flexible, and a team player Ability to travel throughout Western Massachusetts as appropriate and assigned Adaptable to changing priorities and assignments while consistently reaching goals; understanding and acceptance that some unpredictability is the nature of the job
