Basic Functions:

The primary objective of the Interventional Radiographer is to provide excellent full-cycle patient care by performing diagnostic x-rays, as well as Therapeutic and invasive procedures. The Radiology department here at Memorial offers a variety of activities including a variety of radiographic, fluoroscopic, portable, and surgical procedures on patients of all ages. Memorial is a great place for Energetic and Motivated Technologists. The Health System is always changing and growing as well as utilizing the best and newest technologies that allow Radiologic Technologists to grow and learn.

Requirements for this position include:

  • Registered radiographer (ARRT-R) in good standing or registry eligible. If not otherwise specified by the professional licensing body, the maximum allowable time to practice in a “registration pending” status is three months.

  • Active license required in radiography from the Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety.

  • Maintain CPR Certification.

  • Two (2) years’ experience in radiography and/or one (1) year experience in IR and/or two (2) years’ experience in surgery or diagnostic fluoroscopy, preferred.

  • Operational background and / or experience with microcomputers, required.
