Job Summary: The Continuous Process Improvement Manager is responsible for the overall coordination, time management, analysis, and administration of several Operational Improvement Projects. The position is required to understand cross-functional workflows and develop procedural documentation including; SOP's, Value Stream Maps, Kanbans, and Work Instructions. The position is responsible for delivering insights based on project timelines as well as ad-hoc requests. Alongside the Project & Performance Management Team, this position will assist with the development and implementation of operational customer service improvement plans, controls and strategies used in the US Global Services (USGS) network.
Help build a continuous improvement culture and drive Brink’s Lean strategy to deliver sustainable results by:
Performing process analysis / Value Stream Mapping to identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement
Facilitating Kaizen / rapid improvement events; coaching team members and management to see and eliminate wastes in the process
Facilitating implementation of 5S and visual management systems
Developing standardized work instructions and helping implement a TWI program
Conduct basic training sessions with small teams
Process-minded and analytical
Team facilitation and coaching on Lean thinking (waste identification and elimination through root-cause problem solving)
Ability to interact with both front-line staff and management in a way in which it brings teams together to focus on common goals (up/down/across organization)
Eagerness to advance up the Lean ladder. Obtain higher levels of certification and “belts”
Intermediate MS skills- Excel , Word and PowerPoint
Ability to deliver “constructive” critique
Experience in the freight or security transportation business
Experience performing process analytics
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
Ability to initiate activities independently, learn and achieve results
Objective observation and investigative skills
Strong consultative, analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation Skills
