Right now, the company is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineering Officer to join the Aerospace Support and Test Equipment (ASTE) program based at Springfield. The ASTE program provides engineering and logistic support for a large range of technical equipment and is continually developing new capabilities for our Defence customer.

We are looking for electrical engineering officers with a talent for big picture thinking and attention to detail – knowledge and knowhow to deliver real-world solutions. They are responsible for providing analysis, design, verification and investigation support to the ASTE program with a focus on asset management. The key to success will be the ability to apply a broad range of engineering skills within the program and its full range of support activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, apply and comply with relevant electrical standards to provide electrical engineering analysis and lifecycle support for the safe and secure delivery of Australian Defence Force’s assets.

  • Conduct technical information review, engineering investigations, defect and maintenance-related investigations.

  • Conduct engineering, supportability and obsolescence analyses

  • Maintain engineering records, update and maintain databases and prepare and generate technical reports.

  • Ensure identification, codification, stock merging, and disposal activities are conducted in accordance with relevant standards.

  • Update and maintain customer mandated systems.

    Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline

  • Minimum of 6 years’ post qualification experience

  • Demonstrated ability to provide analysis of electrical drawings

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes to meet quality, cost and schedule commitments.

  • Demonstrated ability to draw on prior experience to analyse and solve problems.
