GE Aerospace Sr Staff Technical Product Manager in Springdale, Ohio

Job Description Summary

As the Sr. Staff Technical Product Manager, you will be responsible for managing products in Services Contract Financials product category. The primary ownership of products includes Clearview CMR (an orchestration product that executes CMR steps), Customer Risk (responsible for evaluating financials health of the customer and its potential impact to GE Aerospace) and CMR reporting and booking simplification opportunities like manage CMR by exception. You will be responsible for operating in lockstep with product management teams to create a clear strategic direction for development needs and convey that vision to the build and/or operations team. You will direct the team with a clear and descriptive set of requirements and partner with the team to determine what can be delivered through balancing the need for new features, defects, and technical debt. Your priority is seamless integration and alignment of perspectives from a broad set of stakeholders: Functional leaders and analysts, Product Managers, Technical Anchors, Product Owners, and Developers.

Job Description

In this role, you will:

  • Demonstrate superior product and industry knowledge and helps organization to gain the competitive edge, problem decomposition and ability to navigate through ambiguity.

  • Interact with customers/stakeholders in VOC requirements-gathering, fine tuning, and obtaining product feedback.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver features and major, complex products.

  • Possess a deep understanding of the technology stack and impact on final product.

  • Routinely collaborate with UX, Architecture and engineering teams on multiple issues and decisions.

  • Conduct customer and stakeholder interviews and elaborates on personas.

  • Own the release and sprint backlogs short-term roadmap for MVPs and quarterly releases and continuously orders and prioritize to ensure that 1-2 sprints/iterations of backlog are always ready.

  • Engage frequently (50% of the time) with the development team; facilitates discussions, provides clarification, story acceptance and refinement, testing and validation; contributes to design activities and decisions.

  • Translate unstructured or ambiguous work requests into actionable user stories and work units.

  • Mentor junior team members.

  • Provide technical leadership to TPMs across organization.

Education Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR associate degree with minimum of 8 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 10 years of professional experience

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Technical Product Management or Information Technology (IT).

  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

Note : The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive plan.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Strong knowledge of software design and coding principles.

  • Experience working in an Agile environment.

  • Familiarity with versatile implementation options.

  • Demonstrates knowledge on technical topics, such as caching, APIs, data transfer, scalability, and security.

  • Experience in supporting Financial systems, SOX compliance, Data Analytics/reporting
