Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. Clean Energy Project Lead- O&R E-Mobility in Spring Valley, New York

Overview

The Clean Energy Project Lead is responsible for the planning, development, execution, tracking and monitoring of Electric Vehicle (EV) initiatives in support of O&R's and New York State's clean transportation and e-mobility goals and targets. The Clean Energy Project Lead will project manage or provide support for the Company's E-mobility initiatives, which may include the Company's Managed Charging programs, EV Make-Ready program (light-duty and medium- and heavy-duty), Demand Relief programs, Workplace Charging program, Fleet Assessment program, and oversight of EV-focused Rates, as needed. Responsibilities will include initiation, planning, execution, and program monitoring and control. In addition, the Clean Energy Project Lead will prepare reports and presentations, facilitate meetings for upper management, and make formal and informal presentations to company management, NYPSC and NJBPU staff, and external stakeholders. The Clean Energy Project Lead will also propose policies or strategies to address emerging issues, new business solutions, and revenue models for the Company.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities
  • Manages E Mobility programs. Responsible for the development, initiation, implementation, evaluation, and monitoring and control of E Mobility programs. Provides direct oversight and leadership for implementation of the programs.
  • Work with the E-Mobility team and other internal stakeholders to shape, integrate, and optimize e-mobility multi-year portfolio goals; includes preparation and presentation of findings to senior management.
  • Participates in the implementation of Clean Energy initiatives, with a focus on E Mobility, through the assessment of NYPSC/NJBPU policy issues to determine their impact on the Company.
  • Responsible to manage third party vendors in support of E Mobility program implementation, execution, and evaluation.
  • Responsible for attending and preparing documentation for periodic meetings with NYPSC/NJBU Staff, customers, and other stakeholders to provide information pertaining to E Mobility and Clean Energy program implementation.
  • Participates on various cross-functional teams that influence and identify new business solutions for the utility, with a focus on e-mobility, including; Electrical Engineering, Technical Engineering, Energy Efficiency, Customer Assistance/Accounting, AMI and other interfacing departments to adhere to all requirements and time schedules for the completion of E Mobility and other clean energy program related work.
  • Prepares presentations to support communications with various internal and external stakeholders including senior management, E Mobility stakeholders, and other NYPSC/NJBPU clean energy related working groups, and policy makers.
  • Evaluates regulatory commission statements, recommendations and rulings particularly as they relate to electric vehicles, and the NY and NJ Clean Energy proceedings. Coordinates with various internal organizations on necessary action.
  • Participates in the preparation of regulatory submissions, reports and interrogatory responses in E Mobility proceedings and rate cases.
  • Represents the Company at NYPSC/NJBPU conferences and working group meetings related to Utility of the Future/E Mobility.
  • Represents the Company at outreach events to educate customers about electric vehicles and the Companys programs.
  • Performs other related tasks and assignments as required.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Engineering or an equivalent discipline is preferred. and 3-5 years of relevant industry or project management experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in any of the following areas: project management, financial modeling in a corporate finance or business strategy capacity, or utility regulation.
Preferred Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Engineering or an equivalent discipline is preferred. and 5 years of relevant industry or project management experience.
Relevant Work Experience
  • Ability to work independently and also contribute to a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment is essential. Required
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Required
  • Must have the ability to effectively interact with customers, support staff, and various levels of management. Required
  • Must be well organized, detail oriented and flexible to handle multiple assignments and deadlines. Required
  • Demonstrated analytical data management skills. Required
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Required
  • Experience in leading implementation of and managing complex projects. Required
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and comfortable working in a dynamic environment. Required
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, and the ability to see the big picture and attention to detail Required
  • Working knowledge of utility operations and policies. Preferred
  • Working knowledge of regulatory processes such as preparation of rate proceedings, and responding to commission orders and interrogatory requests is preferred. Preferred
  • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to drive results by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to build consensus. Preferred
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to understand and deal with technical issues as well as assess customer and Company economics associated with E Mobility. Preferred
Licenses And Certfications
  • Driver's License Required
Additional Physical Demands
  • Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
  • Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory and to other CECONY/O&R locations, as needed.
  • Must be able and willing to occasionally travel to regulatory and industry meetings as required.

Minimum Salary: 140000.00 Maximum Salary: 150000.00 Salary Unit: Yearly
