HP Inc. Sourcing Strategic Development Manager in Spring, Texas

Join the Direct Procurement SDSO (Strategy, Digital, Software Licensing, and Operations) team at HP's Supply Chain Organization in the pivotal role of Strategic Development Manager. As the Direct Procurement Organization embarks on a significant digital transformation, this position is crucial for driving change management across the procurement organization to optimize sourcing processes and analytic decision-making capabilities, adoption of digital tools, and alignment with cross-functional business teams on future state processes and RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed). The position will report to our Digital Transformation Manager and requires strong business acumen with procurement processes, expertise in change management, and advanced executive communication and collaboration skills. Responsibilities:

  • Craft and execute a comprehensive change management strategy, including detailed plans for communication and execution aligned with cross-functional team requirements.

  • Collaborate closely with project managers and workstream leads to oversee project interdependencies.

  • Document training needs and support the design and implementation of training programs.

  • Perform change impact analyses and risk assessments, and implement risk mitigation tactics.

  • Lead discussions to define roles and responsibilities for new processes.

  • Establish and track success metrics to monitor the progress of change initiatives.

  • Ensure effective execution, adoption, and overall business readiness.

  • Manage resistance and build relationships with key stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of solutions.

  • Develop partnerships with key stakeholders to expedite project execution efficiently.

  • Provide regular project updates to sponsors and stakeholders at all levels, including executive management.

  • Monitor project outcomes, facilitate team meetings, and address arising challenges.

  • Identify project dependencies and formulate strategies to mitigate risks.

  • Engage with SMEs to ensure alignment on future state processes that adhere to industry best practices.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Advanced understanding of supply chain, especially procurement processes and strategy.

  • Strong leadership in managing complex, cross-functional, global initiatives.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while being a constructive contributor to a team.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, relationship building, and collaboration skills.

  • Effective time management skills and critical thinking.

  • Ability/willingness to operate in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

  • Solid understanding of project and change management methodology, tools, and application.

  • Demonstrated skills in conflict management and facilitation.

  • Proficiency in MS Office suite of tools with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint is required.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; Master's degree preferred.

  • At least 8 years' experience across various supply chain functions, with a solid understanding of procurement processes and systems.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience managing project phases in a global or virtual setting.

  • Experience with procurement applications is preferred.

  • PMP certification and/or Lean Sigma certification is advantageous.
