Insight Global Embedded Software Developer in Spring, Texas
Job Description
An employer is seeking an Embedded Software Developer to join their team in Spring, TX. He or she will be joining the Commercial Architecture team and will be responsible for leading the design, development, and optimization of embedded software and firmware for hardware products. The Embedded Software Developer must be technical enough to do hands on development, have an understanding of connectivity/Bluetooth development and strong knowledge of developing firmware applications on Arm processors. In addition, he or she will be senior enough to help manage projects, lead and guide other developers and work in a cross-functional setting. The goal of this role is to be converted too a fulltime employee after a year or so depending on budget. This position is onsite 3 days a week in Spring, TX and the pay ranges anywhere from $70 - $100/hr depended on experience.

Skills and Requirements
10+ years of experience with developing firmware applications on Arm processors
Expert level in C++ Development
Strong understanding of RTOS concepts, ability to develop complex multi-threaded application firmware components.
Experienced in working with source control systems like Github
Familiarity with board bring-up, and bootloader architecture
Experienced in debugging embedded firmware applications using JTAG, SWD debuggers
Proficiency in low level communication protocols like UART, I2C, and SPI Structured embedded systems development (bare metal and RTOS)
Low footprint Peer2Peer decentralized systems development including security; experience with novel architectures desired
Connectivity development experience (bluetooth) null
