Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Spring Lake, North Carolina
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Spring Lake, North Carolina. The successful candidate will be integral in our team, handling a variety of tasks related to customer credit applications, account management, and payroll processing. This role is primarily based on-site and requires a blend of accounting and government experience, specifically in how government processes payroll.
Responsibilities:
• Process and manage customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency
• Maintain and update customer credit records regularly
• Address and resolve customer credit inquiries promptly
• Monitor customer credit accounts and take necessary actions to collect delinquent payments
• Assist in payroll processing, ensuring all procedures and regulations are adhered to
• Utilize various software for accounting tasks, including transitioning to new systems
• Perform account reconciliation to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing
• Use data entry skills to maintain and update records in various systems
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various accounting tasks. Requirements • Proficient in account reconciliation and maintaining accuracy in financial records
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with billing procedures and invoice processing
• Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial data analysis and reporting
• Knowledge of Oracle financial software for streamlining accounting tasks
• Experience in using QuickBooks for accounting and payroll tasks
• Understanding of SAP financial software for integrated business operations and finance
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with various departments.
