Scot Forge Company Account Manager II in Spring Grove, Illinois
Responsibilities:
Serve as the main customer contact at Scot Forge, facilitating the customer experience to increase share of business, total spend and overall profitability in target markets and programs by:
knowledge of materials, processing capabilities, alternate manufacturing options, and industry specific requirements
processing requests for proposals, purchase orders and complex contract reviews
customer issue resolution, change requests, quality audits, approved vendor documentation, production status updates and expedite requests
liaison between internal functional departments and the customer
Responsible for post sales quality related issue resolution.
Establish trust/credibility and rapport within all facets of the customer’s organization.
Identify cost/impact of a complex project to the entirety of the Scot Forge business.
Implement risk mitigation during proposal development.
Collaborate with internal departments (metallurgy, engineering, etc.) ensure complete understanding or customer needs.
Provide continued support internally after an award is received.
Apply prescribed segment pricing guidance, gather market intelligence and competitor information as required for negotiations.
Facilitate sales opportunities through customer learning, identification of customer needs, and solving customer problems with value to grow target accounts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering other related degree or 5+ years of applicable work experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Comfortable communicating with people in a wide variety of roles internally and externally.
Proficient with MS Office.
Familiarity with internal quoting and order systems.
Strong abstract reasoning and technical learning capabilities and aptitude
Demonstrate effective time management and organizational skills
Ability to solve problems logically and critically, willingness to bring solutions to the table.
