Volunteers of America - Spokane Youth and Young Adult (YYA) Coordinated Entry System (CES) Specialist (Full-Time) - $24.50/hour in Spokane, Washington

The Youth and Young Adult Coordinated Entry Specialist will effectively and efficiently target resources for Spokane County's Youth and Young Adults (YYA) who are at risk or experiencing homelessness, and work with Spokane County's Youth and Young Adults to identify housing and resources best suited for their needs.

The Youth and Young Adults Coordinated Entry Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the Youth and Young Adult Coordinated Entry System (YYA CES) to ensure YYA experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness in Spokane County are able to access and receive appropriate and needed homeless services. This position provides screening and intake of Youth and Young Adults who are at risk or experiencing homelessness seeking services, utilizing assessment and prioritization tools, as well as diversion strategies.

The Youth and Young Adult Coordinated Entry Specialist will support in leading Spokane County's first YYA Coordinated Entry System process, which includes working with the Youth Advisory Board, the Continuum Of Care Board and Committees, and the Anchor Community Initiative Core Team, to develop and finalize access, assessment, prioritization, and referral for Homeless Youth Coordinated Assessment.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position with 40 work hours per week. Core work hours fall between 9am and 5pm Monday through Friday. However, schedules may vary and may require long work hours and varied shifts, as well as holidays, weekend, and evening work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

Manage internal tracking processes for all activities related to YYA CES.

Input and maintain required records accurately, comprehensively and in a timely manner, including data entry into the Community Management Information System (CMIS), Credible, and other agency and program databases as required.

Maintain the centralized housing placement lists for YYA singles and families.

Pull YYA Coordinated Entry List.

Make appropriate and effective referrals to local service and case management providers, and maintain a current referral list for all clients.

Maintain required system statistics and submit reports as requested.

Occasionally conduct intakes and assessments for YYA who are seeking homeless housing services.

Manage YYA CE/Diversion policies and procedures.

Serve as the Data Lead for the Anchor Community Initiative (ACI) by ensuring the successful maintenance of the Youth-By-Name-List (YBNL):

Pull ACI Dashboard reports from CMIS;

Analyze and understand the data, pinpointing issues and addressing them;

Clean the raw data and prepare it for transformation;

Visually model the data in Tableau and enter it into all relevant A Way Home Washington (AWHWA) databases;

Meet with representatives from AWHWA's data team for ongoing support and troubleshooting;

Use the ACI Dashboard report to generate the weekly Yes-2-Yes (Y2Y) Case Conferencing prioritization list;

Present data in community-wide and internal meetings when relevant, showcasing data visualizations---time permitting.

Conduct training and ensure consistency on the YYA assessment tool with partner agencies as needed.

Maintain relationships with various programs in our community to promote our services.

Collaborate with other existing Coordinated Entry systems in the Spokane community
