Providence St. Joseph Health Triage Counselor in Spokane, Washington
Description The Emergency Psychiatric Counselor functions under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse to provide psychiatric triage for selected patients. S/he is expected to demonstrate an advanced understanding of contemporary psychosocial principles in relation to his/her area of responsibility. Following orientation and defined training programs, satisfactorily performs skills as defined by departmental policy and orientation procedure. Required qualifications: Upon hire: Washington Clinical Independent Social Worker License U Upon hire: Washington Advanced Social Worker License Or Upon hire: Washington Mental Health Counselor License Or Upon hire: Washington Mental Health Counselor Certificate Or Upon hire: Washington Counselor Certified Adviser Certification Or Upon hire: Washington Counselor Certified Certification Or Upon hire: Washington Social Worker Certificate Or Upon hire: Washington Behavioral Analyst License Or Upon hire: Washington Counselor Agency Affiliated Registration 1 year of Psychiatric experience. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related Human Services Or Education requirement may be waived in the case of an applicant demonstrating exceptional relevant clinical experience.
