Providence St. Joseph Health Patient Placement Coordinator in Spokane, Washington
Description Patient Placement Coordinator at Sacred Heart Medical Center 0.9 FTE, Full time, average 36 hours per week, 12-Hour Day shift position The Patient Placement Coordinator (non-RN) has the primary responsibility of reviewing and assigning bed placements for patients requiring admission to units within an acute care ministry within Providence Sacred Heart and Holy Family. This includes admissions from emergency departments, direct admissions, future admissions, inter-unit transfers, and surgical placements. Chart review and/or calls to clarify bed criteria will be performed to assure appropriate bed placement. The Patient Placement Coordinator collaborates with nursing, EVS, transportation, and others to define, reduce and eliminate barriers within the system which may impede patient flow. Preferred Qualifications: Coursework/Training: College education in medical office, medical information or related medical business field. 2 years of experience in hospital or medical business office functions. 2 years of experience use Microsoft applications; Outlook, Teams and Excel. 2 years of experience using web-based software. 2 years of Customer Service experience.
