Description Patient Placement Coordinator RN at Sacred Heart Medical Center 0.6 FTE, Part time, average 24 hours per week, 12-Hour Day shift position 3040 NURSING ADMIN MAIN 6 The RN Patient Placement Coord is a Registered Nurse who provides adjunct support to the Administrative (House) Supervisor (AS) and Resource Coordinators (RC) during high volume hours by assuming responsibility to facilitate the design implementation and monitoring of processes to improve patient flow within the urban hospitals. S/he is responsible for centrally reinforcing process by monitoring information systems for timely completion and accurate input and has the authority to request immediate compliance from responsible staff. This position works with the AS and RC's to orchestrate timely placement of all admissions into the Medical Center and serves as the primary contact for direct admission/inter-facility transfer referral requests during high volume hours; working to assure correct patient status, level of care and bed availability based on mutually acceptable ETA. Or equivalent education/experience Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire 3 years Registered Nurse in an acute care setting. Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree Nursing or related field.
