Honeywell Machine Operator - Hot Press in Spokane, Washington

Honeywell is seeking a Machine Operator-Hot Press to operate, monitor, and detect problems and respond accordingly to all conditions with the Hot Presses. Responsible to protect the property, equipment, products, and personnel. Produce high-density, high purity powder metallurgy sputtering targets.

Pay Transparency

The salary for this position is $19.00/hr. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•Set-up and operate vacuum hot press and support equipment.

•Calculate volumes and weights of powder and input recipes for production of target.

•Monitor vacuum system, cooling system (back-up and emergency), hydraulic system, electrical system, and pneumatic systems during production. Will be responsible to detect system problems and remedy immediately.

•Calculate density of pressed targets for Quality Control.

•Assist with and perform preventative maintenance duties including checking oils, water flow, changing, filaments, O’ Rings, thermocouple, tighten and replace heater elements.

•Update records, charts, and graphs for incoming powder particle distribution. Update daily logs as required.

•Perform inventory control of all gases and refractory powders, including ordering of the proper grade materials.

•Use of computer software systems: In (MSDS) and Fastlook.

•Operate forklift, hydraulic lift, scales, mixers, die unloader (hydraulic), Rotap (automatic screening), heat sealer, bead blaster.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

MUST HAVES

•6+ months of related production experience.

•Must be able to read and understand simple blueprints

•Must have knowledge of computer systems, metric conversion system and periodic table.

•Team player, good verbal communicator, and have the ability to follow work instructions in a safe manner.

•Candidate must possess mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and a willingness to learn.
