Avista Utilities Electric Customer Project Coordinator in Spokane, Washington

Job DescriptionAs a member of the Customer Project Coordinator Family, your role is to promptly responds to customer inquiries, feedback, and resolves customer issues with the goal of satisfying the customer and enhancing the opinion of the company, while still maintaining the company’s interest. This role provides assistance in promoting the safe and reliable use of energy, through planning and installation of either natural gas or electric service. This is completed through the complex electrical design and coordination of line and main extensions or rebuild of existing facilities in order to meet or exceed our customer’s expectations. There are several levels within the CPC job family, progression is based on performance, operational needs and scope complexity.

Requirements Customer Project Coordinator I:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or Journeyman card. College Level Degree or Journeyman card preferred.

  • Valid Driver's license and must be able to travel to job sites throughout Avista service territory.

  • 6+ months' relevant work experience related to GIS, planning, and/or designing construction of natural gas or electric facilities with an emphasis in customer service.

  • Must have strong customer service skills.

  • Demonstrated skills in cooperating in a team environment, negotiation, problem solving, construction management, and excellent communication skills is a must.

  • Experience in construction field with basic knowledge of Avista's natural gas preferred and electric infrastructure required.

  • Strong working knowledge of key operation business process and core applications.

  • Ability to interpret and explain complex business processes and concepts.

  • Qualified applicants will have basic computer skills and ability to learn computer applications for construction design.

Other combinations of education/experience may be considered.

Customer Project Coordinator II: Customer Project Coordinator I requirements plus the following:

  • College level degree, Journeyman card or equivalent education/experience. College level Engineering degree or Journeyman card preferred.

  • 3+ years' work experience directly related to planning and designing of electric facilities with an emphasis in customer service.

    Customer Project Coordinator I: Starting Salary: $71,741 to $92,905 per year; Full Salary: $71,741 to $103,486 per year

    Customer Project Coordinator II: Starting Salary: $81,672 to $106,174 per year; Full Salary: $81,672 to $118,425 per year
