Providence St. Joseph Health Dietitian - Nutrition Services in Spokane, Washington

Description Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the Registered Dietitian (RD)/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) in collaboration with other health care team members, plans and provides medical nutrition therapy to patients. This includes nutritional assessment, development of therapeutic plan, nutrition education and monitoring of patients response to medical nutrition therapy. The RD must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned units. Or Master's Degree in Nutrition or nutrition-related field. Washington Dietitian Certification within 6 months (180 days) of hire. Or Washington Nutritionist Certification within 6 months (180 days) of hire. National CDR Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration upon hire. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Certification by American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, American Association of Diabetics Educators, or Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics upon hire. Experience in Clinical Dietetics specifically with age group to be served (neonate, infant, toddler, preschool, school-age child, adolescent, early adult, middle adult, older adult). Work experience in acute care and/or outpatient settings, as applicable. Why Join Providence?
