Spherion Staffing is looking to fill a Buyer opening with a company selling hardware Fasteners. In this role you will be support both local and east coast facility efficiently managing procurement activities and driving initiatives to meet the organizational objectives. Pay offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. In addition, Spherion offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, Washington paid sick leave, an incentive and recognition program (all benefits are based on eligibility). Responsibilities: Generate purchase orders (POs) and manage expedite requests for designated vendors Establish and implement best practices for inventory optimization Evaluate suppliers/vendors, considering factors such as quality, price, and service Collaborate with other departments to plan inventory levels based on customer forecasts and historical data, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders

Demonstrate proficiency in negotiating with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules while fostering positive vendor relationships Working hours: 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM Skills: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field is preferred CFS (Certified Fastener Specialist) designation preferred Experience with inventory management software Previous experience in negotiating supplier contracts Analytical and problem-solving skills Education: Bachelors Experience: 4-7 years Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in Fastener Distribution Buying Knowledge in OEM Fasteners Proficiency in reading engineering prints Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and search engines Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to enhance processes and achieve objectives Proficiency in following written and verbal instructions and executing specified tasks Capability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize workload effectively Can multitask efficiently Attention to detail, accuracy in counting, and ability to verify others' work Sense of urgency and excellent time-management skills.
