Available Title(s): 270-NNFACULTY - Assistant Professor, 280-NNFACULTY - Associate Professor, 290-NNFACULTY - Professor Business Title: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor | Open Rank Employee Type: Faculty Position Term: 9 Month Position Details: The Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences (SHS), Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine, Washington State University Health Sciences Spokane, WA invites applications for a permanent, full-time, tenure-track, 9-month open rank appointment, rank will be commensurate with qualifications. This individual will be responsible for teaching undergraduate/graduate courses in SHS, conducting programmatic research, securing external funding, and providing service to the department, college, and university. The search committee is especially interested in candidates who, through their research, teaching, and/or service, will contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community. Required Qualifications for All Candidates: • Record of scholarly work with potential for and/or history of externally funded support • Demonstrated ability to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels, and with students from diverse backgrounds and underrepresented groups. Required Qualifications for Candidates at Assistant Professor rank: • An earned PhD in speech and hearing sciences or closely related field prior to hire. Required Qualifications for Candidates at Associate Professor rank: • An earned PhD in speech and hearing sciences or closely related field prior to hire • Six years of experience at the assistant professor rank and demonstrated performance toward tenure expectations. • Appointment to the rank of Associate will be contingent on meeting tenure expectations in the College of Medicine at Washington State University through the Faculty Annual Review and Promotion and Tenure process. Required Qualifications for Candidates at Professor rank: • An earned PhD in speech and hearing sciences or closely related field prior to hire • Six years of experience at the associate professor rank and demonstrated performance toward tenure expectations. • Appointment to the rank of Professor will be contingent on meeting tenure expectations in the College of Medicine at Washington State University through the Faculty Annual Review and Promotion and Tenure process. Preferred Qualifications for All Candidates: • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) • Area of expertise is open; special consideration will be given to applicants with experience in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), voice, child language, or dysphagia Additional Information: Area/College: Elson S.
