Job Title: General Production Worker
Job Description
Working in a production shop operating a Roll-Forming machine or Polishing machine to create metal seals of various sizes. Most seals are small (about the size of your hand), but there is also a large seal area that is more advanced and offers higher pay. The role involves loading sheet metal bands onto a roll-former, using a foot pump to run the machine and roll the metal into a circular seal, and inspecting parts as they are manufactured. Each part takes about 10 seconds to produce before repeating. Responsibilities may also include polishing the seals with sandpaper, either by hand or machine.
Responsibilities
Operate Roll-Forming and Polishing machines to create metal seals.
Load sheet metal bands onto roll-formers and use a foot pump to run the machine.
Inspect parts as they are manufactured, ensuring quality control.
Polish seals with sandpaper, either by hand or machine.
Read and follow work orders and written instructions carefully.
Manipulate and handle small parts, which can be strenuous on the hands and fingers.
Cross-train and be flexible with moving between rolling and polishing tasks.
Essential Skills
Prior manufacturing experience and enjoyment of manufacturing work.
Aptitude for math, basic counting skills, and experience with measuring tools, such as calipers.
Skill for cosmetic quality inspection of parts.
Ability to work independently and own the process.
Good ability to read instructions and follow directions efficiently.
Enjoyment of simple, light, and repetitive work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in packaging, production, assembly, and general labor.

Work Environment

Most positions involve sitting and rarely lifting more than 5-10 lbs. Employees can wear headphones and may sit close to other machine operators, fostering a social atmosphere. Bi-annual eye exams and vision tests are required to ensure quality control. The company strives to accommodate preferences, such as providing standing roll former machines for those who prefer not to sit all day.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane Valley, Washington.

The pay range for this position is $17.25 - $18.25
