D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for anArchitecture CAD Managerfor their Operations Department. The right candidate will manageand direct the activities of the Architecture CAD Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Plan and direct the activities of the CAD Operators
Create and maintain construction documents within compliance of the International Residential Building Code
Create and maintain sales collaterals to be distributed to Sales Agents
Keep an excellent record of all changes to construction documents in a revision log
Responsible for new design, customer upgrades and daily design changes
Assist other departments with AutoCAD utilities and applications
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages 2 or more employees in the Division. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience * Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; 5 years minimum service experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Excellent communication, organizational and multi-tasking skills. * Strong knowledge of residential design and construction. * Must be proficient in AutoCAD with strong drafting skills.
