RHINEHART Finishing Equipment and Facilities Maintenance Technician in Spencerville, Indiana
TITLE: Equipment and Facilities Maintenance Technician *REPORTS TO: Chief Operating Officer PURPOSE and OBJECTIVE: This job description outlines the requirements, reporting relationships, authority, responsibilities, duties and measurement of performance for the position of Equipment and Facilities Maintenance at Rhinehart Finishing, LLC. The primary objective of Equipment and Facilities Maintenance Technicians is to maintain the facility and all plant machinery in safe operational condition. POSITION REQUIREMENTS:*
- Must be able to read and write English.
- Must have excellent mathematical abilities.
- Licensed forklift and scissor lift operator.
- Must possess logical, organized troubleshooting skills.
- Must be experienced with blueprints and schematics.
- Must be available for all shifts, on call.
- Must be experienced in troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
- Must be experienced in troubleshooting electrical service panels and machinery electronics.
- Must be experienced in maintaining Maintenance Records for multi-equipment maintenance systems.
- Versed in manufacturing safety and OSHA requirements.
- Must understand and support ISO standards.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES and AUTHORITY:
- Perform preventative maintenance on all plant equipment and maintain service records.
- Coordinate with suppliers and submit requests for the purchase of maintenance related materials.
- Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment and facility infrastructure.
- Perform lockout/tagout procedures IAW 29CFR1910.147 in order to ensure safe maintenance operations.
- Maintain records as required to meet any state and federal regulatory requirements associated with facilities maintenance.
- Report all maintenance requirements to the Chief Operations Officer.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with the COO and Plant Superintendent to enhance production schedule.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work is performed in all facilities on campus.
- Work is performed in elevated positions on ladders and in scissor lifts.
