DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Linde Advanced Material Technologies Inc. Met lab technician Indianapolis, IN United States | req19196 1st shift Monday-Friday 7am-330pm
What you will enjoy doing* * You will Prepare and evaluate cubicle qualification samples (Tab samples) * Further you will also prepare and evaluate sample parts and customer hardware (Part cut ups) and prepare and evaluate physical properties (e.g. Hardness - Micro and Macro) * You will Perform set-ups, and operate a variety of standard lab equipment, while adhering to prescribed methods of operation * You will calibrate and maintain lab equipment is required in this role * Moreover you will order all Met Lab supplies including polishing suspensions, grit paper, etc. * You will perform quality evaluations of standard coatings in a timely manner, identifying problem areas and reporting results to appropriate individuals * You are responsible for accurate record keeping for all of the above
What makes you great * A High School Diploma/GED is required in this role * You must be able to complete Praxair Metallurgical Technician Training and maintain certification * Further you must be able to perform quality evaluations of standard coatings and basic investigations into metallurgical issues at a level typically acquired through a minimum of 5 years' related lab experience * Moreover you must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends and holidays as needed * Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong written and verbal communication skills is required * Ability to pass a vision test
