WESTERN TECHNICAL COLLEGE Adjunct instructor Law Enforcement in SPARTA, Wisconsin
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Summary of Position: Instructors are responsible for providing quality academic curriculum, instruction, assessment, and for ensuring a productive and challenging learning experience is delivered to prepare students for the workplace and/or a pathway to further education. This position works to promote social justice within the division and the larger academic institution. Instruction will be primarily in the face-to-face format at the Sparta Public Safety Training Facility. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Education and Occupational Qualifications: Associate degree OR minimum of 60-accredited semester credits or 90-accredited quarter credits, and as having acquired three years of full-time (6,000 hrs) certified* occupational experience as a law enforcement or tribal law enforcement officer. One of these years (2,000 hours) must be within the last five years. Completion of the State of Wisconsin- Department of Justice Instructor Development Course required at time of hire or eligible to complete the course within 3 months of initial date of hire. *Certified occupational experience starts on the date an officer receives certification from the LESB. Certified occupational experience does not start on the date an officer is hired by an agency or the date an officer graduates from preparatory training. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree Teaching experience preferred Required Certification/Licenses: Eligible for/or meets WTCS Faculty Quality Assurance System requirements.
