MPL Laboratories ( EMSL Analytical Inc.) Microbiologist in Sparta, New Jersey
MPL Laboratories is seeking a full-time Microbiologist in Sparta, NJ. This position reports to the Laboratory Director. Ideal candidate will have experience with inoculation and microbial testing. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Assist Lab Director with harvesting live organisms and growth promotion testing Assist Lab Director with suitability and challenge testing related tasksAssist Lab Director with sterility testing and related tasksPerform microbiological testing on water, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, cosmetics, personal care products, chemicals, food, or food constituentsComplete sample work instructions for corresponding sample testingAssist with cleaning and preventative maintenance for laboratory work areas and stations, and laboratory equipment as neededPerform Spore Klenz RTU spraying of laboratory areas at the end of each dayRe-stock laboratory materials as needed, report low inventory of supplies, and report damaged equipment or materials to supervisorParticipate in quality control activities and functions including but not limited to media and diluent negative controls Requirements:Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Science Degree or equivalent in Molecular Biology, Microbiology or Immunology is preferredMust have prior educational laboratory experience, prior professional laboratory experience is a plusMust have experience with various microbiological media and serial dilutionsMust have excellent Oral, Written, and Technical CommunicationMust have math aptitudeMust be organized and possess the ability to plan day to day dutiesMust be able to distinguish colors in order to perform analysisProfessional laboratory attire and mannerismsMust have time management skillsMust be able to stand for extended periods of timeMust be able to climb laddersMust be able to carry up to 50 poundsBackground Check Required Available Shift:Tuesday to Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EMSL offers full time benefits: medical, dental, 401(k), voluntary benefits, paid time off, holiday pay and a flexible spending account To find out more about MPL Laboratories visit: https://www.mpllaboratories.com/ To find out more about EMSL Analytical, Inc. please visit our website at: www.emsl.com EOE including Veterans and Disabled
