Robert Half Medical Receptionist in Sparks, Nevada

Description We are looking for a proficient Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team in Sparks, Nevada. This role involves supporting our medical practice by managing day-to-day administrative tasks, utilizing various medical software, and interacting with patients. The job offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Answering phones and updating registration information as needed.

• Scheduling and confirming patient appointments.

• Utilizing EHR System, Allscripts, Medisoft, and Microsoft Excel to perform various administrative tasks.

• Assisting with billing functions, including insurance matters.

• Managing patient charts and graphs.

• Applying knowledge of clinical trial operations and chiropractic practices in day-to-day tasks.

• Regularly updating and maintaining accurate customer credit records.

• Monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

• Resolving customer credit inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Requirements • Proficiency in medical software such as Allscripts, EHR SYSTEM, Medisoft

• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the ability to create charts and graphs

• Familiarity with billing functions within a medical setting

• Experience with clinical trial operations

• Understanding of insurance processes within a healthcare facility

• Knowledge of chiropractic practices

• Ability to handle patient data and maintain confidentiality

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Knowledge of medical terminologies and procedures

• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in medical administration is a plus.
