JOB SUMMARY:

The Life Sciences Project Manager is accountable for Project Execution from contract signature through project closure and has cross-functional responsibility pre-contract to determine project scope and technical feasibility with both internal and external stakeholders. The Project Manager will manage multiple projects and associated efforts forward while collecting, organizing, and distributing project data such as customer satisfaction, risks and issues, revenue recognition forecast, resource availabilities, lessons learned, etc. Projects will primarily be part of BD’s Diagnostics Solutions portfolio but may range into the BD BioSciences portfolio and/or the OCOS program; cross-training should be expected.

This role’s secondary focus will be Continuous Improvement including areas such as data analysis, business operations, process improvement, etc. Primary sources of data will be Smartsheet, Prosymmetry’s Tempus Resource, Salesforce, and ServiceMax. This individual will propose, collaborate, negotiate, present, and ultimately publish purposeful reports and dashboards to assist with driving efficiencies and effectiveness in our project methodologies and program execution. A data-centric mindset and experience is prioritized and is being sought after.

Project Management responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Developing and communicating the wholistic project plan to the project team, internal leadership, and customer stakeholders.

  • Assembling and maintaining project and customer program schedules.

  • Developing custom communication plans as needed.

  • Hosting regular meetings with internal & external project teams to monitor & control progress.

  • Coordinate and lead onsite meetings with external stakeholders at key milestones.

  • Regularly updating internal stakeholders on project status, trends, and forecasts.

  • Maintaining accurate and timely project data inputs on a weekly basis.

  • Advising the customer regarding Change Management.

  • Manage and communicate project risks impacting the project or organization.

  • Engaging local Sales, Marketing, and Service teams to underpin a sustainable product placement.

  • Participate in continuous improvement sessions to the further professionalize the PMO.

  • Coordinate project resource availabilities and allocations.

  • Interface effectively with the different BD departments to manage cross functional processes and resolve issues impacting both internal and external customers.

  • Supports sales partners’ efforts to attain business objectives.

  • Continuously benchmark customer processes through Business Reviews, focusing on market trends and customer needs to identify opportunities for process improvement and differentiated services.

  • Manage customer perceptions by leading communications through both regular formal business reviews and informal periodic calls/visits.

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge and Skills

  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organization skills with a proven track record of accomplishments in cross-functional projects/teams/programs

  • Effective interpersonal skills; including internal and external communications and crisis/conflict resolution skills

  • Demonstrated effective knowledge of Project Management, Risk Management and Change Management

  • Consistent professionalism during customer & cross-team/functional interactions with awareness for customer needs and expectations

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Impeccable communication skills

  • Willing and able to travel up to 20%

Education and Experience

Required Qualifications

  • Smartsheet experience including grid maintenance, report creation, and dashboard publication required

  • 5+ years project management experience in a customer environment required

  • 5+ years’ experience with risk management experience (RAAIDD preferred) in regulated industry required

  • 3+ years' experience in data driven continuous improvement projects required (pFMEA capable)

  • Current/Active PMP certification required – will be checked/confirmed

  • Power BI experience required

  • Data Analysis experience required

  • Experience with critical delivery projects required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant IT/LIS/EMR/HealthCare/Automation Project Management experience across integrated systems preferred

  • 3+ years of program management experience environments preferred

  • 2+ years of business case development preferred

  • LEAN/ Six Sigma certificate strongly preferred

  • Quality System Management experience preferred

Salary Range Information

$97,700.00 - $161,100.00 USD Annual
