The Schwab Cybersecurity Services (SCS) organization is a centralized 1st Line of Defense Center of Excellence (COE) that provides security services to advance Schwab’s security posture and enhance the protection of Schwab’s critical assets.
The Automation Engineering team within SCS Application and Data Engineering organization owns the strategy, design, development, implementation and support through automation and orchestration for achieving high security and performance, increasing efficiency and eliminating manual repetitive tasks in cyber operations and business process within SCS.
We are looking for a Senior Team Manager to lead a team of exceptionally talented and innovative Engineers.
Lead technical team in delivering highly scalable and reliable solutions that meet budgets/timelines while ensuring alignment to SCS strategic technology vision.
Lead day-to-day activities and influence team members to leverage and support agile software development practices.
Ensure team is properly engaged, aware of career breakthroughs/path, aware of their role on the team and how it relates to others; how their contributions meet the
verall vision.
Hire, retain top talent. Coach, mentor and develop team members.
Assist the plan, build and run model to define the vision for overall Automation Engineering and for maturing the services.
Identify gaps/risks early and establish mitigation plans for internal and external (vendor products) technical issues & with regards to resources.
Increase the overall visibility of this team; celebrate/track accomplishments and build relationships with key leaders in other groups.
Collaborate closely with enterprise and security architecture, governance, risk, onboarding, and production support teams while building and maintaining durable security solutions.
Ability to analyze, propose and implement timely, cost effective, quality solutions for all issues or problems within area of responsibility.
What you have
Required:
Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Information Security, Computer Science or equivalent.
4 + years of managing a high performing engineering team
8 + years with at least 5 years of Cybersecurity Engineering experience that includes.
Enterprise-level system administration experience, supporting automation platforms, technologies and databases that are subject to high levels of audit and regulatory oversight.
Strong technical and functional familiarity with three or more of the following: Chronicle SOAR, Appian, Python, Big Query, API development, AWS, Azure or GCP data repositories, Google Cloud Security development.
Deep understanding of SDLC, agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures.
Preferred:
Experience with Google Cloud and Native technologies. Chronicle suite of products, Big Query, Appian
Security certifications such as CISSP or SANS
