At Schwab, the Cloud Services organization within Schwab Technology Services (STS) empowers Schwab’s development teams with an easy to use, self-service catalog of operationalized, secure cloud products meeting Schwab’s regulatory requirements that exceed Client expectations. The organization’s mission is to operationalize Schwab’s cloud capabilities to enable the scalable and secure migration of Enterprise applications to our multi-cloud infrastructure.
Cloud Services Senior Manager Software Development Engineers will enable and support enterprise level business applications transitioning to one of three cloud environments. This position requires a self-motivated individual with exceptional problem-solving skills who can contribute to a highly collaborative culture and a team environment to support our Cloud Application teams ability to scale their services securely in the cloud and independently drive their operations at a high-level leveraging Cloud Services based services and platforms. You will be working with best of breed technologists and SMEs across Cloud Architecture, Cloud Security, Cloud SRE and Cloud Engineering to bring a high level of energy, focus and fresh ideas that support our mission to provide value by seeing the world “Through Clients' Eyes.”

What you have
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field OR related practical experience
5+ years of experience supporting Infrastructure and Application Operations
5+ years of experience in Software Development (Infrastructure or Application)
3+ years direct experience with Cloud support in AWS, GCP or Azure.
Infrastructure as code, preferably leveraging Terraform. Either designing net new modules and maintaining including troubleshooting and resolving issues with existing modules.
Experience with Cloud Security products and following secure design principles.
Work experience with DevOps tool suites; examples include Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jenkins, Concourse etc.
Experience with ITIL operational processes to ensure high availability and service of entire technology stack.
Experience with environment provisioning and deployment automation (Salt/Chef/Puppet)
Experience working in a Public Cloud Environment required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex issues across Cloud Infrastructure and getting to root cause.
Experience planning, designing, and building cloud environments.
Experience developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate the provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud resources on public cloud platforms.
Ability to collaborate & influence across multiple teams (Cloud Architecture, Cloud Engineering, Application DevOps, Cloud SRE and Cloud Tools Engineering) to effectively design solutions to permanently fix persistent issues that prevent Cloud Application teams from effectively adopting Cloud Services.
Results-oriented. Ability to deliver impactful results in previous experiences around scaling, standardizing, visualizing or observing core services.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate across teams and across various levels of technical leadership. Effective listening skills.
Ability to design and execute strategic technology plans to associated business partners ensuring collaboration across technology and the business.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change.
Strong technology affinity and experience.
Experience with IT, DevOps or DevSecOps.
Experience working in an Agile release management team.
