Baptist Memorial Technologist-Surgical Lead in Southaven, Mississippi
Summary
Lead Tech will be over assigned specialty areas and will ensure that all supplies and instrumentation are available for cases. Will ensure that staff have completed room assignments (stocking, checking expiration dates, and organization of supply cabinets & equipment). Responsible for precepting orientees in assigned specialties. Monitors Supply Room Inventory Levels to ensure sufficient levels. Facilitates and Processes the Surgery supply specialty orders. Responds to customers timely to meet their needs, works with all vendors for best outcome and proper training. Performs other related duties as required and/or directed by manager. Assumes Supervisory responsibility in the absence of the manager. Performs other duties as assigned. Subject to overtime and call back as needed.
Responsibilities
Generates Current Surgery Case Schedules
Monitors Supply Room Inventory levels to maintain sufficient stock for Surgery Cases
Tracks, Maintains and Processes any and all Special Orders for Surgery
Ensures all supplies from Surgery are properly restocked in supply room and assignments completed
Responds timely and accurately to all customers request
Completes Assigned Goals
Requirements, Preferences and Experience
Education
Preferred: Associates Degree
Minimum: Certified Surgical Tech
Experience
Preferred: 5 years experience as Certified Surgical Tech in 3 specialties
Minimum: 3 years experience as Certified Surgical Tech
Special Skills
Minimum: Basic Computer Skills.
