We are looking for a world class Machine/Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Technician is responsible for effectively troubleshooting mechanical and electrical failures on test stands, production equipment and building infrastructure. Applicant must be able to read schematics and parts drawings, perform routine preventive maintenance on machines and facilities, and be proficient with the use of a multi meter. The technician should be able to utilize downtime reports to evaluate and prioritize work orders according to production and testing needs and complete tasks in a timely manner. This person will work with the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to execute work orders and is also responsible for performing on-going audits relating to equipment performance and safety.
Role & Responsibility
Responsible for the maintenance, repair and setup of robotics, CNC, conveyor systems, test stands and control driven equipment
Repair, program, and troubleshoot control systems on plant equipment
Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance to get machines and test stands up and running to capacity
Communicate with supervisors and managers to inform of situations that may impact production
Contact and interact with contractors for maintenance issues requiring outside expertise
Compile records of equipment and machinery information to use as maintenance resources
Assist in maintaining an inventory of spare parts for all machines to minimize downtime
Assist with preventive and predictive maintenance on the facilities and production machinery when necessary.
Move and install plant and building equipment, layout and make necessary pneumatic, electrical and hydraulic line connections
Design and program control circuits for P.C. controlled equipment
Job Requirement - Education, Experience & Skills
Successful completion of a certification program in industrial maintenance at a Junior College or equivalent formal training in a related field with five years of industrial maintenance experience
High school diploma or general equivalency
Ability to troubleshoot PLC based controls
Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Strong electrical and test stand experience - Pneumatic experience is a plus
Computers and Technology
Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook) preferred
Ability to enter time using clocking device and/or Maintenance Connection/JDE work order system
Certifications
OSHA certification preferred
Electrical certification preferred

Manufacturing environment involves frequent standing, sitting, and walking. Tasks require frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination. Performance of tasks may involve bending, stooping, and stretching. All tasks require the use of safety glasses and wearing of safety toe shoes. Noise level in some areas requires the use of hearing protection. Employee must occasionally lift raw materials and lift and move items up to 35 pounds. This position is also required to climb ladders, work at heights using scissors lifts, and work at heights over 6 feet.
