Description
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing the full cycle of payroll processes for our domestic and international employees. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with large payroll software systems and a strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Key Responsibilities:
Full Cycle Payroll: Process and manage the entire payroll cycle for domestic and international employees, ensuring timely and accurate payment.
Payroll Software Management: Utilize large payroll software systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, or similar) to process payroll and generate reports.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international payroll regulations, including tax filings and other statutory requirements.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate payroll records, including timesheets, employee data, and payroll changes.
Deductions and Adjustments: Calculate and process deductions, bonuses, commissions, and other payroll adjustments as required.
Reporting: Prepare and distribute payroll reports, including earnings statements, tax reports, and other financial documents.
Issue Resolution: Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries promptly and professionally.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving payroll processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations and address cross-functional issues.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing, including international payroll experience in a manufacturing or similar industry.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in large payroll software systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, or similar); advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of federal, state, and international payroll laws and regulations.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex payroll issues clearly.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with utmost discretion.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
