Laboratory Technician

6 month contract role

Shift: 8am-5pm, M-F (overtime and weekends may be required)

Pay: $27-$30/hr

Responsibilities:

• Aseptically fill SLTDs

• Aseptically prepare cell culture media, reagents, and buffers

• Prepare assay samples and reagents for testing

• Prepare sterile cell culture media

• Routine maintenance of equipment (e.g. daily checks, periodic cleaning)

• Cryopreserve cell samples and use controlled rate freezer (CRF)

• Manage and maintain inventory of laboratory reagents and materials, including samples

• Cell line maintenance (culturing and passaging primary cells, immortalized cells)

• Perform routine cell counts and viability checks using cell counter

• Adhere to GMP and GDP requirements, aiding in quality records as required.

• Assist in process improvement experiments across manufacturing and PD environments.

Requirements

• Able to gown in and out of a cleanroom

• Knowledge of aseptic technique

• Experience making sterile cell culture media

• Experience working in a GLP laboratory environment

• Able to follow instructions to perform laboratory duties

• Availability to support late shift or weekend work

• Able to carry 40 lbs
