Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Manager in South San Francisco, California
Description We are in search of a Human Resources (HR) Manager to be based in South San Francisco, California. This key role will establish and manage our HR framework and processes, providing exceptional service to our growing team. As the HR Manager, you will take charge of the entire employee life cycle, encompassing everything from hiring and onboarding to offboarding and compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and manage HR infrastructure, policies, and processes to support our growing organization.
• Align HR strategies with business objectives and company culture in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Provide strategic recommendations on HR best practices, emerging trends, and compliance to guide the company’s people strategy.
• Lead full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding top talent.
• Develop and refine our onboarding experience to ensure new hires feel welcomed, engaged, and prepared for success.
• Administer employee benefits programs, including health, wellness, and retirement plans, and serve as the go-to person for benefit inquiries.
• Evaluate and enhance benefits offerings to remain competitive and support the well-being of our employees.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Build, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and best practices.
• Manage offboarding processes and conduct exit interviews to gather insights and identify opportunities for improvement. Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a human resources role
• Proficiency in benefits functions and administration
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Comprehensive understanding of compliance within the HR sphere
• Proven experience in managing employee relations
• Familiarity with hiring processes and interviewing techniques
• Expertise in compensation and benefits strategies
• Ability to contribute to employment branding initiatives
• Knowledge of health insurance and disability insurance provisions
• Understanding of HR compliance and labor law
• Experience in crafting HR policies and procedures
• Proven track record in implementing HR strategies
• Proficiency in human resources administration
• Experience in conducting new employee orientations and onboarding
• Proven skills in performance management and reviews
• Experience in recruiting and terminations
• Expertise in training and development initiatives
