Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Coordinator Come join our recently expanded and strengthened Safety Department! The EHS Coordinator will develop and support Ultradent's national and global safety initiatives in both a corporate and manufacturing environment. As our EHS Coordinator you will building a culture that supports safety and strengthens the working climate by supporting and participating in all safety improvement activities for the company. You will also function as a subject-matter expert in order to advise staff and management to achieve localized ownership and true, lasting improvements in the safety program. Communicate identified or reported EHS issues to the Safety Manager and actively assist in resolution of issues. Actively participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective-preventative actions. Champion employee involvement to identify and address safety concerns. Define, develop, create, deliver, and track effective safety programs and training for adult learning methods. Participate in EHS audits, risk assessments, and inspections and ensure closure of corrective actions. Effectively interact with internal customers and external agencies and resources. WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Bachelor's Degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental protection, chemistry, or other related field and at least 1-2 years of experience or a Master's Degree in a related field. Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills. Ability to create and present safety information to large and small groups of people across diverse levels of the organization. Ability to deal with emergency situations, including employee injuries, with a level head. Ability to work well individually and in a team setting and to be self-motivated with little supervision. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN YOU: Ability to obtain Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification within 2-3 years – Preferred. Working knowledge of chemical safety practices – Preferred. Prior experience creating, establishing, and carrying out industrial hygiene program and sampling strategy – Preferred. Knowledge of OSHA and EPA-DEQ laws, standards, and regulations governing manufacturing sites. Possess and exemplify the values upon which Ultradent is built. Must love the smell of mint and bubble gum toothpaste.
