Catamount Ski Resort Winter Season Parking Lot Attendant in South Egremont, Massachusetts

Job Summary Seasonal Part time ONLY The Parking Attendant is responsible for making the first positive impression to Catamount by bringing good organizational skills and a friendly presence. Attendants are expected to deliver great customer service while maintaining quality housekeeping standards. Looking for a part-time job that gets you out on the slopes before noon this is it! Job Tasks/Responsibilities - Ensure safe and efficient flow of traffic into and out of Catamount\'s parking lots. - Greet guests and provide information and directions as requested. - Set up signs and traffic cones as needed. - Keep close contact with security in illegal parking cases and/or towing of vehicles. - Acquire fundamental knowledge of radio and its use. - Direct foot traffic in the parking lots. - Acquire knowledge of Catamount and its functions. - Establish and maintain safety practices in the parking lots. - Responsible for achieving guest service goals. - Inform management/maintenance of particularly slippery conditions. - Maintain a clean and professional appearance, well groomed and in full uniform daily. - Attendants may not smoke in the parking lot (Smoking is also not permitted in any of the buildings.). - Adhere to and enforce all parking policies, procedures and safety regulations. - Responsible for daily lot cleanliness including, but not limited to, trash and recycling pick up. - Collect garbage/recycling from lift areas and deposit in appropriate dumpster. - Shovel snow and spread sand/salt in assigned areas Qualifications & Experience - Valid Driver\'s License preferred, but not required. - Current High School Student or Graduate. - Current Work Authorization/Work Permit. - Previous guest service experience. - Ability to speak and read English, comprehend simple instructions and respond to questions. - Must be polite. Physical Demands While performing this job, the employee is frequently exposed to extreme temperature variations, outside weather conditions, including snow, sleet, and freezing rain. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: - Stand all day in cold weather - Bend and scoop heavy wet snow (snow shoveling) - Walk at will over rugged snowy/icy terrain, climb and hike mountain trails - Lift and/or move 25+ pounds
