Catamount Ski Resort Food and Beverage Director in South Egremont, Massachusetts

Catamount Mountain Resort is looking to hire a Food and Beverage Director to lead and elevate our existing operations. The experienced leader in this role will head up our food and beverage operations, direct and oversee all activities of food service, private event sales and execution as well as special event production. This role will strive to provide efficient, friendly, quality focused and profitable operations on a year-round basis. Multi-unit leadership is preferred, as is experience with quick service, full service, and catering operations. Dedication to training and mentoring is essential. Working with a talented team of professionals in leadership positions across mountain operations, guest service and back office operations is required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Ensure profitability is achieved to budgeted and other expectations - Monitor and adjust to guest satisfaction with vigorous attention to quality control. - Constant monitoring of organization, production and product execution across all areas of food and beverage. - Promote a positive interaction and experience with dining guests. - Assign staff duties and responsibilities for kitchens, bar and restaurant. - Oversee food preparation, portion sizes, and the overall presentation of food. - Handle staffing responsibilities: hiring, training, scheduling, and terminating. - Promote cooperative effort, teamwork and good morale among staff. - Supervise staff in food production, customer service, and cleaning. - Purchasing and Inventory. - Manage quality throughout all areas of the operation. - Maintain sales and profit records, expenditures, maintain financial reports. - Perform inspections to check proper operation and safety of equipment. - Establish safe procedures and oversee kitchen safety techniques. - Establish menus and pricing for restaurant, bar, cafeteria, or other events. - Oversee process for proper food handling and food storage techniques. - Drive private event sales team as well as operational execution for all private and special events.
