We are searching for an Entry Level Scientist to support our growing team.
Scientist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Set-up and conduct experiments in accordance with Protocol and SOP's.
Efficiently carry out procedures necessary to complete each project with minimal supervision.
Prepare test solutions and diets in accordance with directions.
dosing, necropsy and other procedures.
Dose, evaluate responses, perform necropsies, and collect blood, urine, fecal and tissue specimens in accordance with standard operating procedures and protocols.
Meticulously maintain precise records of all experiments in accordance with good laboratory practices.
Assist in writing of reports.
Follow all PSL safety requirements.
Ability to safely wear a respirator required
Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate would possess:
Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in laboratory animal medicine, toxicology, animal science or biology is preferred, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Position is a full time Monday-Friday, 9-5 p.m., with overtime as needed. This position will require rotating weekend work.
