Were hiring a SBA Closing Specialist to join our SBA Lending Team.
Responsibilities
Maintain weekly Loan Closing Pipeline report and provide to department member.
Engage SBA loan documentation attorney or coordinate receipt of internally prepared loan documents with applicable Bank team members.
Obtain all borrower and guarantor due diligence items, including public records searches and coordination of environmental and real estate valuation reports as outlined within loan approval and Commitment Letter
Manage receipt of borrower's insurance policy information, including assignments of life insurance and commercial/homeowner's insurance endorsements with proper language issued in accordance with SBA and Bank policy.
Secure copies of any leases and associated Landlord's Waivers. Ensure that leases are of the required term and Landlord's Waivers are in a form acceptable to both the SBA and the Bank
Manage receipt of all additional loan closing checklist items as they may appear and as outlined in Commitment Letter; maintain accurate and up-to-date closing checklists for each loan file using template.
Collaborate with all applicable internal departments, including Loan Boarding, Centralized Funding, BSA/Risk Management and Credit Support along with Bank counsel to ensure loan is ready to close.
Finalize equity injection sub-folder as applicable in collaboration with the SBA Underwriting Team
Communicate items to be paid at closing with loan proceeds to SBA Operations Administrator for creation of loan disbursement sheet.
Obtain clear to close from Senior Credit Officer, SBA Underwriter, or Managing Director AND Bank counsel prior to documents being released; secure receipt of all final execution copies of loan document packages, and add all SBA-specific forms, for each deal and provide to Relationship Manager
If the loan has a Post-Closing Agreement, provide copies to applicable SBA Lending Team members. Collaborate with
SBA Portfolio Manager and Operations Team to satisfy outstanding post-closing requirements.
Accountable for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to this position including the Univest Code of Conduct.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
2+ years' experience working within commercial lending operations or origination, or eq ivalent related experience.
Familiarity with SBA Standard Operating Procedures SOP and SBA 7a loan structures preferred.
Ability to act freely in a high-volume environment and complete routine tasks with little supervision.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and work within a deadline-driven environment.
Professional appearance, strong interpersonal skills, positive and professional attitude.
Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience with Jack Henry suite and regional property search providers preferred.
