This employer will be on-site conducting interviews at our Multi-Industry Job Fair which will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at Upper Bucks County Technical School, 3115 Ridge Rd., Perkasie, PA  18944.  The Job Fair hours are 2:15 PM -- 4:00 PM.  For more information on the Multi-Industry Job Fair, please contact Regina Labor at c-rlabor@buckscounty.org.

The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling and building of food packaging / processing machinery.

Skill-Set

• Must have all tools required to build machines and knowledge of their use.
• Above average mechanical skills.
• Have knowledge of pneumatic systems.
• The ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Experience setting up and running manual milling machines, lathes, drill presses and other shop equipment.
• Must have good computer skills.
• Must have good time management skills.

The following experience is a plus:

• Part and component inspection
• Test equipment operation and use
• Knowledge of motion control systems (servo & stepper motor and drives)
• Knowledge of ac/dc motors and controls
• Welding skills
• Ability to read / understand schematics and wiring control panels
• Experience with process control devices, PLC's, sensors, etc.

Communication

• Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with other assemblers, engineers, machinists, wiremen, technicians and supervisors.
• Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks as directed.
• Good oral / written communication skills.

• Must be highly detail oriented; attentive to accuracy, efficiency and neatness.
• Demonstrates cooperation and willingness to take instruction.
• High degree of flexibility and willingness to work on a wide variety of projects and tasks.
• Displays enthusiasm and a positive attitude.

Daily Routines include:

• Assembling and building machinery.
• Work with engineers on designs and any issues
• Advise on future design
• Other duties and responsibilities as directed and assigned.
