About the Role

TWE seeks a Maintenance Mechanic III who will be responsible safely servicing the production equipment at our state-of-the-art production and packaging facility in Sonoma. We have three levels of Mechanics, and our III position requires electrical certification. We would consider level II mechanics who have exposure to electric al circuitry and are willing to get their certification, paid for by the company. This position is for second shift, 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety First!

  • Inspect safety switches and safety guarding on all pieces of production equipment

  • Perform Lock-Tag-Clear-Try procedures on all pieces of production equipment

  • Gain advance understanding of operator procedures (safety considerations, start up, normal operations, shut down)

  • Change over equipment in preparation for new product specifications and oversee start-ups

  • Troubleshoot equipment (e.g., fault isolation, corrective action) to reduce downtime

  • Perform preventative maintenance (e.g., inspection, alignment, cleaning, lubrication, lifecycle

  • management) according to the equipment’s technical manual and manufacturer’s specifications

  • Perform corrective maintenance (e.g., fault isolation, corrective action, research/selection of parts) to reduce downtime

Advanced Maintenance Tasks

  • Programming: Troubleshoot PLC faults, learn how the program controls are integrated to the production lines and how to adjust parameters

  • Pumps: Rebuild, repair and install all pumps used at the facility for proper operations. Troubleshoot any malfunction (e.g., flow, electrical, mechanical, vacuum, positive displacement, centrifugal) on a stationary pump

  • Electrical: Read electrical schematics, Isolate faults replace motors, switches, sensors and other electrical devices

  • Welding: Perform welding skills (MIG and TIG) and cutting skills

  • Plumbing: Select materials and install piping for a wide variety of purposes (e.g., air, water/liquids, products)

  • Boilers: Understand the operations and capabilities of the water heaters required for the facility use.

  • Process Water: Understand the operation of the components used in the water delivery system, Capable of repair and replace components

  • Waste Water: Understand Flow chart of the water disposal of the facility and assist in the maintenance of all its components for optimal performance

  • Pneumatic systems: Troubleshoot pneumatic systems (including Air compressor operations, solenoid maintenance, Air dryers and filters)

  • Machining: Perform simple machining operations (e.g., drilling, tapping, broaching sprockets, grinding, polishing) to proper specification

Other Duties

  • Work order analysis

  • Parts research and other duties as required

  • Understanding general operating concepts of the SBC Facility (representative sampling)

  • Tanker Offloading

  • CIP system (time, temperature and turbulence)

  • Chilling systems

  • Waste-water flows and holding systems

  • Air systems

  • Safety operations for docks

  • Bottle conveyor lubrication systems

  • Alarming systems

  • HVAC

  • Data collection

About You

  • You have a technical diploma for a trade or technical higher education.

  • 7+ years of experience in a maintenance or similar role in a consumer-packaged goods or similar company. Specifically, serving as the go-to person for troubleshooting and fixes.

  • You are collaborative and a team player: resolve problems, stakeholder engagement, and solutions focused – knows who to bring in at the right times.

  • You are detail oriented – excellent project management skills, can create then deliver against a timeline and communicate progress effectively.

  • You are action oriented – results driven, possesses a sense of urgency, but also the ability to prioritize and work well under pressure.

  • You can manage cross functional demands.

  • You have machine and technical aptitude.

  • You can communicate affectively; you can translate technical problems to laymen.

  • You get energized by complex problems and a passion for solving them.

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The base pay range offered for this position is $27 to $40 per hour, depending on electrical experience. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work out of the Sonoma, CA. If the incumbent works out of another location, the wage rate may fall above or below this range. Treasury reserves the right to modify the range in the future.
